Dr. Claudia Lara was born in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) in 2011. While working toward becoming a licensed veterinarian in the United States, she spent 11 years as a veterinary technician in emergency medicine at the El Paso Animal Emergency Center, gaining extensive experience in critical care and advanced patient support. She is certified in comprehensive abdominal and echocardiographic ultrasonography, as well as hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). After successfully completing the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification, Dr. Lara is proud to continue serving the El Paso community as a veterinarian. Her professional interests include small animal internal medicine and advanced ultrasonography, with a special focus on using diagnostic imaging to guide treatment and improve outcomes for her patients. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Lara enjoys drawing, playing video games, traveling. She loves spending time with her pets and family, and is always up for an adventure.
